At the age of 20, Lisa left home in Montreal, Canada to join the Ocean Warrior, a ship belonging to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, dedicated to the preservation of marine wildlife through the enforcement of international marine laws. Alongside Paul Watson and his crew of swashbuckling eco-pirates, Lisa participated in high seas direct action in the USA, Costa Rica, Panama, the Galapagos Islands, Tahiti, Tasmania, New Zealand, Antarctica and beyond in defense of sharks, whales and marine life.

In 2002, Lisa left the ship to live in New Zealand where she worked as Outreach Coordinator for Save Animals From Exploitation, NZ's only national animal rights organization.

In 2004, Lisa moved to New York City where she re-kindled her love of the arts, (photography, acting and music) and became actively involved with well- known artist collective, the Galaxy Girls. The collective helped establish the everlasting Body Temple parties in Brooklyn , and they founded Vitality, an eclectic space in Manhattan's Lower East Side, offering raw vegan superfood treats and teas, yoga swings, performance space, body work, internet, an oxygen bar, workshop talks, shamanic ceremonies, and essential community atmosphere. Thus was inspired Lisa's interest in the health world.

In March of 2005, Lisa returned to life at sea, and was named Sea Shepherd Conservation Society's crew-member of the year after a campaign and court dealings regarding the brutal Canadian seal hunt.

Lisa has been based in Montreal and Israel since then. Having spent a significant amount of time at the Kripalu Center, and completed trainings in Anusara- based yoga, yoga therapeutics, swedish massage, child massage, reiki, herbology, aromatherapy, raw foods preparation, etc., Lisa centers her professional practice around the healing arts, tending to clients mainly at home and occasionally at Studio Bliss. She uses the combination of her studies to address the specific issues of her clients by holistic means.

Her father and her grandfather, both accomplished writers in their fields, inspire in her to, wherever she is, use writing as an anchor and a means of processing her experience and of expressing. Spoken word poetry, songs and books for adults and children are a major part of her journey, and she offers spoken word workshops to high school children, in yoga studios and at conferences where writing is a useful vehicle.

Lisa is active in the performing arts as a spoken word artist, and as an actress in the upcoming film, Search for God by DLI productions. She spends the rest of her time exploring her roots in the Middle East, biking, soaking in natural settings, studying Kaballah, staring at the starry night sky, making music, putting together workshops and community events and just generally celebrating life, making sure to leave some space for precious golden silence in between.

Lisa admittedly finds it humorous to refer to herself in the third person with the aim of gaining professional appeal.
