Shabbat/Yoga Retreat 2014
This harvest season, join massage therapist and yoga teacher, Lisa Shalom for a weekend- long retreat designed to welcome in the restfulness of shabbat with the peace and relaxation of a meditative yoga practice.
Through a series of yoga practice sessions, nature walks, personal time and traditional shabbat ritual, we will create the space and silence essential to returning to one's own powerful presence before the school/work season takes off. Set to the backdrop of the lush township forests, the retreat offers engaging yogic tools and practise within the healing arts as a compliment to Jewish teachings for a toning of the mind, body and soul. We aim to generate valuable insight through direct experience.
Who Can Join-
All are welcome. Participants will be guided in heart- opening exercises in an accessible, grounded, rich and healing format for individuals of all walks of life and levels of experience in both yoga asana and Jewish background. Young or younger, yoga practitioner or beginner, Jew, Jew-ish or not, black, white or purple. We can all can benefit from a day of rest!

What to bring-
-swimsuit for the pool (weather/courage permitting)
-comfortable clothing to stretch in and warmer clothing for nighttime
-something to write in/on
-a Friday evening potluck meal if you feel to contribute something for the meal. (Meal will be provided, but the personal touch always adds something special on shabbat if you find you have time and desire.)
-a quote or object to represent stillness, peace or restfulness

This retreat will be over Sukkot/Thanksgiving weekend, but will get you home in time for a Sunday or Monday Thanksgiving dinner for those who celebrate.
